Lorena P. Arauz

Lorena P. Arauz is an Associate Attorney at the Montero Law Group, LLC. Ms. Arauz received her J.D. from the University Of Baltimore School Of Law and received her B.A. from Loyola University Maryland. Ms. Arauz is a longtime Montgomery County resident, having graduated from the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, Maryland.

Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Arauz worked for the Boeing Company, where she engaged in supplier-facing contractual agreement negotiations by collaborating with supplier management and the Boeing Legal Department.

Immediately after law school, Ms. Arauz began her judicial clerkship with the Honorable Daniel P. Dwyer, the Administrative Judge sitting for the Circuit Court in Washington County.
Ms. Arauz has also served as a judicial intern for the Executive office of Immigration Review in Baltimore (EOIR), through the Department of Justice (DOJ) – where she drafted decisions for the various immigration Judges.

During law school, Ms. Arauz served as a law clerk for the Office of the Public Defender, Felony Division in Baltimore City. In addition, Ms. Arauz has experience working with the immigrant community having interned for Kids In Need of Defense (KIND) – a non-profit dedicated to providing legal representation to children facing deportation proceedings.

Ms. Arauz has served as President of LALSA (Latin American Law Students Association), including serving as the Delegate Chapter chair for the National Latino Law Student Association (NLLSA) for her law school.

Ms. Arauz is admitted to practice in Maryland and is a native Spanish speaker.
