T. Bruce Godfrey

Bruce Godfrey is a lifelong resident of Maryland and Washington, DC. He graduated from Princeton University and from the University of Maryland School Law.  He has been active in employment practice for more than 15 years.

He worked for eight years with a major Montgomery County criminal defense and personal injury firm as an injury and employment litigator, and was a partner and chief operating officer at a premier Montgomery County employment law boutique for three years.  He has served as a Panel Attorney for the Attorney Grievance Commission Peer Review Panel for a number of years, and has served as a Practice Monitor in attorney discipline cases on three occasions.  He has also given continuing legal education seminars on law office management to the Maryland State Bar Association, and on employment law matters to the Bar Association of Montgomery County , the Maryland Association for Justice and the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association.

Bruce is trilingual in Spanish, German and English and routinely represents clients who speak only Spanish in wage/hour violations, unpaid wage cases and similar matters.  He is an annual contributing editor on Andrew Jezic’s Maryland Law of Confessions criminal procedure hornbook. He is the father of two adults with special needs and is a strong advocate for public transit, free speech and government transparency issues.
